Pat Halter is the chief executive officer of Principal Real Estate Investors, the dedicated real estate unit of Principal Global Investors. As head of real estate, he is responsible for overall global real estate strategy, new business development, and business management, including oversight of staff professionals located in the United States and Australia.
As a twenty-year veteran in commercial real estate, Pat’s expertise includes product and fund design, new business development, portfolio strategy and investment management. He also has substantial transaction experience originating and approving over $25 billion in investments for Principal and its clients. Pat chairs the board of Principal Real Estate Investors. He also serves as the chair of numerous other Principal Real Estate Investors subsidiaries.
Pat joined the firm in 1984. He has held various positions within the real estate group. He received an MBA in finance and a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin. Pat is a member of the Pension and Real Estate Association (PREA), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association (CMSA) and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and serves on the Board of the University of Wisconsin Center for Real Estate.

Jeffrey A. Barclay

Jeffrey A. Barclay is a managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he is responsible for the real estate business in the investment management division. He joined Goldman from ING Clarion Partners, where he was responsible for new investments. Prior to joining ING Clarion in 1993, Mr. Barclay was a partner at Hamilton Securities, a Washington, DC-based investment bank. From 1989 to 1992 he was responsible for investment sales at Jones Lang LaSalle. He began his real estate investment career in 1983 at the Lawrence Ruben Company, a private development and investment company. Mr. Barclay also worked in the real estate department of Chemical Bank and in the Equity Research group at CS First Boston.
Mr. Barclay currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, where he earned his MBA in Finance and Accounting. He served as adjunct professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business from 1996 through 2001.
Mr. Barclay is chairman of the Institute Committee of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He is a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) and chairman of the Industrial and Office Product Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He resides in Chappaqua, New York, with his wife, Toby, and their two daughters.
Thomas Garbutt

Thomas Garbutt has been in the real estate investment industry for 26 years. He is a Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate at TIAA-CREF a leading financial services organization and asset manager. The organization has over $350 billion in assets under management worldwide.Tom is responsible for TIAA-CREF’s global real estate activities, including acquisitions, sales, research, and portfolio and asset management. TIAA-CREF has a global real estate portfolio of $20 billion comprised of office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties.
Tom has an M.S. in Real Estate Investment from New York University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Binghamton University. He is a member of ULI, PREA, NAREIM and The Real Estate Roundtable.
Matt Lynch
Managing Director and Head of Global Real Estate

Matt Lynch is the head of the Global Real Estate – US investment management business of UBS Global Asset Management, based in Hartford, CT. He joined the firm as general counsel and a member of the Investment Committee, at the time of its acquisition by TA Associates in 1996. He has chaired the firm’s investment committee since 2004, and has also been a member of UBS’s Global Real Estate Management Committee since its inception in 2002. Previously Matt had responsibility for legal and compliance issues, product development, as well as assisting in the establishment of UBS’s global real estate organization. Prior to joining the firm, Matt had served as counsel in Aetna Life Insurance Company’s law department beginning in 1994 and prior to that was a partner in the Boston law firm of Hale and Dorr where he practiced for 10 years. Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and Connecticut, Matt is a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers, and a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, the Pension Real Estate Association, the Real Estate Roundtable, and the Real Estate Finance Association.
Douglas Callantine

Douglas S. Callantine is President of Grosvenor Investment Management US Inc. (GIM), and has been with GIM, or its predecessor companies, since June 1982. He is responsible for overseeing the origination, acquisition and management of GIM’s mortgage loan and equity real estate portfolios. Mr. Callantine directs the portfolio management of all client relationships and regularly meets with clients to review their real estate positions. He serves on the company’s Investment Committee and its Executive Management Committee. Mr. Callantine has over 30 years of real estate investing experience including, fixed-rate and participating mortgages, joint ventures, and direct ownership on behalf of numerous clients. Before joining GIM, Mr. Callantine was a Senior Real Estate Representative for The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. He holds a B.S. in General Management from Purdue University and an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University. Mr. Callantine is a member of PREA, NAREIM, NASRA, and NCTR.
Bradley Cohen

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Cohen oversees the business activities and the strategic direction of Cohen Asset Management, Inc., the comingled funds of the CAM Industrial Value Fund 2 LLC, CAM Core+ Fund 1 LLC, the Fund Managing Members and the Fund Investment Managers of its separate account core strategy. In targeting real estate investments that were undervalued due to vacancies, sub-optimal management, inefficient current uses, deferred maintenance, long-term undervalued leases or other unfavorable market conditions, Mr. Cohen and his team have applied a hands-on approach to value-added investing. As an active member in the Los Angeles area community, he is an active participant in many charitable organizations. Mr. Cohen has been a speaker at several industry conferences and is a member of Cohen Asset Management’s™ Investment Committee, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). Mr. Cohen was raised in Los Angeles and began his career as an entrepreneur.

Since 2005, Inland Institutional Capital Partners has completed capital raising and financial advisory transactions with a value in excess of $7.5 billion. As President, Mr. Pandaleon is responsible for the growth and performance of the Company.Prior to joining Inland, Mr. Pandaleon was Executive Managing Director of the Institutional Investment Group at Grubb & Ellis, where he led a team of real estate investment professionals focused on serving large institutional clients. Before Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Pandaleon was a Partner with CMD Realty Investors, a sponsor of five institutional commingled real estate investment funds. Prior to that he held senior positions at Allstate Insurance and LaSalle Investment Management (Jones Lang LaSalle), where he acquired and operated large institutional real estate portfolios. Mr. Pandaleon’s 25 years of broad-based real estate investment experience includes portfolio and asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and public and private real estate equities.
Mr. Pandaleon earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College. He is a Director of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), and is an active member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Pandaleon has also served the City of Lake Forest, Illinois for more than 17 years, and has been Chairman of the city’s Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and several other committees. He currently serves as an Alderman on Lake Forest’s City Council and is Chairman of the Council’s Finance Committee.
David J. Congdon

Mr. Congdon is the Fund Manager of the Hines U. S. Office Value Added Funds I and II, discretionary investment vehicles with over $1 billion of equity capital to acquire office buildings with opportunities to renovate, improve occupancy and management. Mr. Congdon joined Hines in 1998. Prior to the formation of HUSVAF I and II, Mr. Congdon was instrumental in executing the investment strategy of National Office Partners Limited Partnership (“NOP”), a venture Hines formed in 1998 with an institutional investor. He helped develop and implement NOP’s investment strategy, which led to the commitment of over $2 billion of equity in both acquisitions and developments between 1998 and 2001. Prior to joining Hines, he was an Executive Vice President with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments and worked in the real estate investment banking group of Credit Suisse First Boston and the real estate lending group of JP Morgan Chase. He graduated from Trinity College with a B.A. in Economics and received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Patricia Gibson

As president of Hunt Realty Investments, Inc., Patricia Gibson is responsible for the overall operations and strategic direction of the company, as well as its interaction and investment relationships with other Hunt entities. Patricia joined Hunt Realty Investments, Inc. in April 1997 as Senior Vice President with responsibility for the firm’s acquisition, investment management and capital markets activities.Through direct ownership and operating partnerships, Hunt Realty Investments owns a diverse portfolio of commercial land, full service hotels, suburban office buildings, luxury apartments, industrial buildings and master planned residential communities. Hunt Realty Investments’ acquisition focus is on the expansion of its real estate investments through partnerships with experienced development and management teams along with an increased focus on structured investments.
Prior to joining Hunt Realty Investments, Pat served for three years as Senior Vice President and Director of Structured Finance at Archon Group, a subsidiary of Goldman, Sachs and Company. At Archon, she oversaw the institutional and capital market efforts for over $1 billion in commercial mortgage backed securitizations and portfolio financings.
Before joining Archon, Pat spent nine years at The Travelers Realty Investment Company where her responsibilities included loan origination, new business development, and the management and restructuring of debt and equity portfolios in excess of $500 million.
