The National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) is the nation's premier professional association for entities engaged in the provision of real estate investment services. NAREIM's member organizations represent both domestic and foreign capital, and include real estate advisors, financial institutions, REITs, opportunity funds and private investors. At present, NAREIM's member organizations manage in excess of $320 billion in real estate investments.
NAREIM is committed to providing its members with real-time information concerning the rapidly changing real estate investment management industry. As such, NAREIM offers programs that are tailored to the needs and interests of both senior level managers as well as line managers with specific operational responsibilities. NAREIM's "Forums" held 12 times each year and focused on a wide variety of topics provide a noncompetitive environment where members can exchange candid dialogue regarding the challenges and opportunities facing real estate investment managers.
In addition, NAREIM sponsors seven half-day "Regional Roundtables" which focus specifically on the real estate conditions that exist in a particular geographic region. NAREIM also holds one roundtable event each year exclusively for the Chief Operating Officers of its member entities which focus on operational issues of the attendees' choosing.
NAREIM also sponsors and distributes to participating members three important surveys each year: The Compensation Survey, The Risk Management Survey and The Investment Management Benchmark Survey. Finally, through its active involvement in the Real Estate Roundtable based in Washington, D.C., NAREIM helps its members stay informed about governmental issues which may be of interest to them.
