Stephen Taylor joined¬†Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan ("HOOPP") in the role of Vice President, Real Estate and President, HOOPP Realty Inc. effective September 2, 2014. Stephen joins HOOPP with extensive experience in the Real Estate sector, most notably as President and Chief Operating Officer for Morguard Investments Limited, a significant partner of HOOPP and one of Canada‚Äôs largest real estate management companies with $15¬†billion in assets under management. With a team of over 900 across Canada, Stephen held overall management and leadership responsibility and set strategic direction for the organization.¬† Prior to this, he held progressively more senior roles with Morguard Investments Limited and other companies, including Confederation Life. Stephen is active in the real estate community and is Chair of the Board of Directors for Real Property Association of Canada (RealPAC) and is a member of the Board for National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM). Stephen holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and a Masters degree from the University of Oxford.
