The NAREIM Talent Management virtual connection is intended to help you reconnect with peers throughout the year - in order to discuss timely issues of importance and to share ideas and solutions.

The July 2022 connection will focus on real-time compensation trend with shared practices on aging factors, inflationary pressures and post-Covid benefit packages. The 60-minute discussion will be whole room Q&A and is open to Talent Management professionals and Executive officer members from NAREIM member firms. Registration will be strictly monitored.

  • 2.05pm: Compensation & benefits: Aging factors, inflation & in-office perks

Though whole room Q&A and the results of a special NAREIM survey on compensation and benefits, members will share feedback on how they are planning for 2022 compensation packages including the impact of inflation on planned 2022 and 2023 increases/bonuses and how they're planning benefits outside the traditional health, dental and life plans.

 

​Members will review and discuss a special NAREIM Member Survey - to be conducted ahead of the Talent Management meeting - before diving into two key issues:

  • Compensation, aging factors & inflation

    • What percentage increase have you planned YoY? How is inflation impacting your firm?

    • What's competitive in today's market - and what will leave you at a competitive disadvantage?

    • Do increases differ across job functions and seniority?

    • How are you handling compensation compression across seniority levels?

  • Benefits

    • Flexible schedules

    • In-office perks (free food; amenities)

    • New benefits and out-of-office perks

    • What benefits are being asked for by employees?

    • What's the most impactful benefit you offer?

  • 2.45pm: Employee-driven pay transparency

Transparency around pay means more than pay equity. Chat rooms, apps, review sites, Google spreadsheets are now actively used by employees to share and learn of compensation and salary bands for every industry and role - while  employees in your team are more than happy to discuss with one another their compensation packages.
